The work space
Low open shelves, one of each material, and a rug or table for every child who wants one. Order on the shelf becomes order in the mind.
Home · About us
One setting, a handful of children, and the time to know every one of them properly.
Why we are small
The Apple Tree House is a childminding setting. A small group means your child is greeted by the same familiar face every morning, and that we notice the week they suddenly become interested in numbers.
It also means parents get a real conversation at the door rather than a note in a book. We know which shoes go on first, which song settles a difficult morning, and when a child is simply tired rather than unhappy.
Low open shelves, one of each material, and a rug or table for every child who wants one. Order on the shelf becomes order in the mind.
Fruit trees, raised beds and room to run. The children plant it, water it, and eat what comes off it.
Cushions, books and a place to be alone for a while. Not every part of a day should be sociable, and children know when they need it.
